Age: 11 and older
Experience: Proficient on indicated instrument (PLEASE NOTE: guitar, bass, piano, vocals and drum seats are now full. There is still room for brass and woodwinds.)
Blues Intensive camp is a deep dive into the heart and soul of blues music! This immersive program welcomes young musicians to explore the rich history, techniques, and improvisational spirit of the blues. Inspired by legends like B.B. King and Bonnie Raitt, participants will develop their musicianship through group jam sessions, expert instruction, and hands-on rehearsals. Whether you're a guitarist, vocalist, bassist, horn player, drummer, or keyboardist, this camp offers a supportive and inspiring environment to expand your blues repertoire and connect with fellow musicians. It all culminates in the once in a lifetime opportunity for students to take the big stage at the North Atlantic Blues Festival on Sunday July 13. Visiting teachers will work with students in breakout groups to refine both their individual and ensemble skills.
