Music Together®, the global program.

The Mixed-Age class (ages 0 through 5 with a caregiver) is the essential Music Together class, one that a child can attend from birth through age five through all nine song collections. The class follows the recommendations of child development researchers—grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. Each child participates at his or her own level. Any caregivers—parents, grandparents, nanny—can bring the children. The whole family is welcome for this important family music experience. Classes are 45 minutes long.

Join us for the Triangle Song Collection this spring!

This spring we'll sing, dance, and "Skip to My Lou," engage in a little dramatic play with "Meow!" and create jazzy rounds with "Hey, Ho, Nobody Home," just to name a few of the 25 songs and chants in the Triangle Song Collection. In addition to your weekly classes, your tuition includes materials for you to use at home, access to the online Family Music Zone, a family newsletter full of resources and music-making ideas, and a family line dance!

  • Tiare Messing

Tiare Messing is a retired teacher who appreciates the life-long joy music can bring, even for those of us who are not professional musicians. A singer since her youth, she currently makes music with Downeast Singers and Harborside Harmony, a women’s barbershop group. Tiare came to Music Together through her work at the Coastal Children’s Museum in Rockland, an organization also dedicated to the importance of learning through play and exploration. Tiare became a registered Music Together teacher so that the opportunity to have fun with music can be extended to more families. When asked why she chose to embrace this challenge, she shared, ”Childhood should be a time to make cherished memories, and Music Together is one way for those to happen.”
